Student-Led Awareness Initiative

Every woman deserves to live free and equal.

EmpowerHer is a student-led initiative raising awareness about gender equality, women's rights, and the fight against domestic violence — because we believe change starts with us.

"No country can ever truly flourish if it silences the potential of its women." — Michelle Obama

EmpowerHer

A movement born in the classroom

EmpowerHer was founded by students who believe that awareness is the first step toward change. We organise events, workshops, and conversations that challenge silence, break stigma, and build solidarity.

We are not just raising awareness — we are building a generation that refuses to accept inequality as normal.

Community
A safe space for every student to speak, listen, and act.
Education
Workshops, talks, and resources that inform and inspire.
Advocacy
Speaking up for policy, safety, and equal treatment in every space.
Support
Connecting survivors with the help they need and deserve.

Our three pillars

Gender Equality

Equal rights, equal pay, equal representation. We advocate for a world where gender does not determine opportunity, safety, or worth.

The Facts

At current rates, it will take over 130 years to achieve gender equality in leadership positions globally. We act now to accelerate this change.

  • Conducting information sessions with women, best of their fields.
  • Hosting workshops on unconscious bias and breaking social orthodoxies
  • Empowering youth to demand representation
End Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is never a private matter. We break the silence, challenge the stigma, and connect survivors with support.

Our Impact

Support should feel like respect, not sympathy

  • Partnered with an NGO in Kanpur, Sakhi Kendra, to directly support women and girl survivors of violence
  • Conducted a donation drive collecting essential and personal items
  • Each contribution was gift-wrapped to ensure recipients experienced dignity, not charity
Women's Empowerment

Education, leadership, and economic independence. We celebrate women's strength and fight to remove every barrier standing in their way.

Driving Awareness Through Action

Awareness, when driven by students, becomes a movement.

  • Engaging students through interactive and themed competitions
  • Creating spaces for discussion, expression and critical thinking
  • Inspiring students to participate and raise their voices
